Chicopee, MA - Leanne McManus recorded a hat-trick and Tori Jo Kakusian added two goals as Marywood University picked up their first win of the 2015 season by shutting out host Bay Path University 6-0 Saturday in non-conference field hockey action played on the campus of Elms College in Chicopee, Massachusetts.

The Pacers, who also got a penalty stroke goal from Gabbie Bower, improve to 1-1 on the year.

McManus got the Pacers on the board in the sixth minute of action when she scored unassisted on a blast to the far inside post.  Thirteen minutes later, Kakusian grabbed a loose ball in a scrum and fired it home to put the Pacers up 2-0.  The 2014 CSAC Rookie of the Year would then put Marywood up 3-0 in the 30th minute of play when she scored off a penalty corner fed in by Bower.

McManus would net back-to-back tallies in in the 31st and 64th minute, the first coming off a helper from Julie Kowalski and the second unassisted, to make it 5-0.  With just over two minutes to play, Bower put home a penalty stroke to close out the scoring for Marywood.

Marywood out-shot the hosts 49-1 and had a 37-1 advantage in shots on goal.

Marywood returns to action on September 10 when they take on Wilkes University at 4:00 pm in Kingston.
