Bears, Crusaders Take Down Pacers at Greyhound Invite

Bethelehem, PA - The Marywood University volleyball team dropped both of its matches at the Greyhound Premiere Invitational Saturday. The Pacers fell in four sets to Ursinus College by scores of 23-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-15.
Marywood became winless after six matches when it lost to Alvernia University by scores of 25-15, 25-21, 25-16.

Mallorie Deschaine led the Pacers with 13 kills, 26 digs and seven blocks (seven solo, six assisted) against the Bears. Danielle DeIulio contributed with 32 assists and four aces. Maddie Lavery tallied 10 kills on 13 attempts. Posting double-figure defensive efforts for the Pacers were Shayna Finn (18 digs) and Mallory Mokay (eight digs).

Meghan Weeks had five blocks on one solo and four assisted. Lauren Besecker garnered two solo and two assisted blocks.

Marywood had a .391 attack percentage.

Against the Crusaders, Weeks and Deschaine provided eight kills apiece. Marywood had four players in double digits defensively. Deschaine led the team with 19 digs. Finn and Mokay each had 13 digs.. Amanda Khozouri tallied 11 digs.

Besecker had three of the Pacers' four aces.

Marywood travels to the Lehigh Valley to take on DeSales University Wednesady at 7:00 pm.
