Hull Brothers Lead Pacers to 2-1 Win over Colonels

Edwardsville, PA – Daniel Hull netted a game-winning goal to give Marywood University its first victory with a 2-1 victory over Wilkes University Saturday in non-conference men's soccer action. Marywood picks up its first victory over the Colonels since a 3-2 win to start the 2010 season.
 
Hull put the Pacers ahead in the 53rd minute to disrupt a 1-1 stalemate. Markus Donahue fired a pass from the right side back to the middle. Retrieving it, Hull unleashed a show to the lower left post for his third goal of the year.
                                                                
Matthew Hull put the Pacers on top in the 34th minute with an unassisted goal. He dribbled, stopped on the left side, and put a shot past the keeper to the top-right corner for a 1-0 lead.
 
Wilkes tied it in the 47th minute when Casey Ritsick scored on a direct kick from midfield.
 
Making his first appearance of the year, Justin Sunseri made four saves and allowed one goal to earn the victory. His counterpart Tim Gallagher stopped seven shots in a losing effort.
 
Marywood outshot the Colonels by a 16-14 margin and owned a slight 7-5 advantage in corner kicks.
 
The Pacers (1-0-1) host Eastern University Wednesday in their home opener at 7:00 pm.
