Scranton, PA - Marywood University was within four points of visiting Neumann University at halftime but the Knights used an 11-0 run to open the second half and went on to a 85-62 win over the Pacers Tuesday night at the Insalaco Arena in Scranton. Neumann moved to 6-5 (2-2 CSAC) behind a game-high 26 points from James Butler while Marywood (4-7, 0-4 CSAC) had three players in double figures led by James Curley's team-high 15.

Connor Callejas added 14 and Shane Letthand had 12 for the Pacers in the loss.

Down 8-3 early, Marywood used a 7-2 run over a 2:30 span to make it a 10-10 game seven minutes into the game.  Then, down 30-19, a 8-0 run from Marywood capped by a Callejas three brought the hosts to within three, down 30-27 with 4:44 to go.

A Letthand trey with 35 second remaining in the half put Marywood to within four, 40-36, at the break.

But the Knights held Marywood scoreless over the first 5:52 of the second stanza, going on a 11-0 run to open up the game and a 15 point lead.  Not until Cory Callejas hit the back end of two free throw attempts and then hit a three on the following possession did the Pacers cut back into the Knights' lead.

Trailing by 13 late in the game, several Marywood fouls over the final minute put Neumann on the charity stripe allowing the Knights to win by 23.  Butler was 12 of 15 from the floor for Neumann, who also got 18 from DeShawn Lowman, 13 from Denzel Yard and 10 each from Tyaire Hudson and Tony Parker.

Marywood will travel to Gwynedd Mercy Thursday and Immaculata Saturday to wrap up a crucial CSAC week for the Pacers.
