Clarks Summit, PA – Marywood University produced its largest victory over the season with a 72-30 win over Summit University Thursday in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball action. The Pacers raced to a 38-point lead at the end of the first half.

Catie Nealon led the Pacers with 12 points on a 5 for 6 shooting effort. Tara Steakin had a season-high 11 points with three 3-pointers made. Megan Salter reached double figures for the first time in her career with 10 points.

Marywood (6-6, 3-0 CSAC) committed just five turnovers to the Defenders' 24 giveaways. No player on either team had more than five rebounds.

Carissa Erdman posted a team-best nine points for Summit (2-6, 0-4 CSAC). Jacklyn Simpson made three of her four shots for six points.

The Pacers outrebounded the Defenders by a 32-21 margin. Marywood went a season-best 44.9 percent from the field on 31 of 69 shooting. Summit shot 36.1 percent and made more than 50 percent of its shots in the second half.

Marywood scored 29 of the first 31 points of the game over a nine-minute span.

The Pacers look forward to fighting for its fourth conference victory of the season and third this week when it hosts Notre Dame of Maryland University Saturday at 1:00 pm.
