Scranton, PA – Marywood University cruised to its third victory this week with a 78-45 win over Notre Dame of Maryland University Saturday in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball action. The Pacers stay unbeaten after four CSAC games and improved their record to 7-6 overall.

Gabrielle Giordano finished with a game-high 15 points and eight rebounds. Alyssa Olson and Alexandra Evans both reached double figures with 10.

Alexa Gerchman added eight rebounds, and Lisa Steakin supplied nine points.

Notre Dame's Zaria Comer posted a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Ashley Guy was a rebound shy of a double-double with 13 points. Justine Mudiay had 11 points.

The Gators (5-8, 1-4 CSAC) accounted for 26 turnovers to the Pacers' 17 giveaways. Marywood shot 42.2 percent from the field to the Gators' 28.6 percent. Both teams finished with 43 rebounds.

Both teams struggled out of the gate to 4 minutes and 30 seconds of scoreless basketball. Catie Nealon ended the stalemate with a 3-pointer in the corner. Marywood's defense held Notre Dame to without a field goal for the first 7:30 of the contest until Comer made a basket to trim the deficit to 9-3. She made another jumper just before the buzzer to end the first stanza trailing 11-5.

The Pacers put distance between themselves and the Gators by starting the second quarter on a 15-4 run. A Kylie Devlin steal and layup upped the lead to 17 (26-9) with 4:37 left in the half.

Every Marywood player in the box score scored at least two points.

Marywood has eyes on extending its CSAC streak to five when it travels to Langhorne, Pennsylvania Wednesday to face Cairn University.
