Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – Two Danny Saba goals within a four-minute span gave Gwynedd Mercy University a 3-0 shutout victory over Marywood University Tuesday in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's soccer action. The Pacers' six-game undefeated streak over the Griffins, dating back to the 2009 CSAC playoffs, comes to a close.

Saba finished with five points on two goals and an assist.

He put the Griffins ahead in the 22nd minute after one-touching an Eric Smith header via a Chris Black cross. In the 26th, Saba was at it again by finishing a Black feed into the box.

Gwynedd Mercy totaled its third goal of the match in the 68th minute. Matt Bachman knocked in a one-touch off of a deflected cross from Saba.

Patrick Brogan made one save in 30 minutes. Tommy McGlennon came in for the final two-third and stopped one shot.

Despite the result, Marywood outshot the Griffins by a 24-11 margin; although, both teams registered five shots on target. The Pacers had an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Marywood hosts Cabrini College on its Senior Day Saturday at noon.
