Scranton, Pa. – Marywood University broke a 0-0 halftime deadlock with four second half goals as the Pacers improved to 8-3 on the year with a 4-1 win over visiting Moravian College Sunday afternoon.

Despite a 12-2 advantage in shots during the opening half, including a 7-1 lead in shots on goal, Marywood could not break through and headed into halftime knotted at 0-0 with the Greyhounds (0-9). The Pacers had a slim 3-2 advantage in penalty corners during the opening frame.

Megan Kanyuk kept the Pacers off the board with six first half saves in goal for the visitors.

Early in the second half that would all change as Tori Jo Kakusian scored just under 10 minutes in after charging into the box and blasting one home from 10-yards out.

Less than five minutes later Amelia Waibel put home a rebound off her own shot from the right side to double the Pacers lead.

Lindsey Gladden joined the scoring frenzy in the 53rd and 57th minutes with back-to-back goals for Marywood, her second and third goals of the year.
All of Marywood's first four goals were unassisted.

Tiwold would spoil the Pacers bid at a fifth shutout of the season as she hammered home a Katie Morrison penalty corner with just under four minutes to play.

Kanyuk finished the game with 12 saves as Marywood out-shot Moravian 31-9 in all (17-4 on goal).  Kerri Mountz got the win for Marywood after not conceding a goal and making two saves in 62 minutes of action. Emma Stockwin played the final eight minutes in goal and had one stop.

The Pacers finished with a 9-7 edge in penalty corners.

Marywood returns to action next Saturday when they travel to Baltimore to take on Notre Dame of Maryland University in CSAC action beginning at 1:00 pm.
