Moosic, Pa. - King's College maintained their lead from day one and placed four golfers in the top 10 to win the 2016 AGA College Coal Scuttle Invitational hosted by Marywood University at Glenmaura National Golf Club in Moosic.  The Monarchs had a two day total of 621 (310, 311) to best second place Rosemont by four strokes.

Keystone's Race Sick (77, 72) was the medalist with a two day score of 149. He bested Hunter Mickatavage of Rosemont and Corey Palma of King's College by three strokes.  Rosemont had the low team score of round two with a 306, which was also the lowest team round of the tournament, but could not catch the Monarchs after shooting a 319 on the opening day.

The University of Scranton was third with a 661 (320, 341) while Misericordia was impressive on the final day and rallied to jump ahead of Marywood with a 682 (353, 329).  The Pacers had a 689 (344, 345) to finish fifth, with Keystone (726) and Wilkes (740) rounding out the field.

Corey Palma finished third overall and led King's with a 152 (72, 80).  Shamus Gartley was fifth, Bill Dombroski sixth and Ryan Georgetti tied for eighth to round out the Monarchs' team scoring.

For Marywood, Joe Weber was 17th with a 167 (84, 83).  Fred Tolerico finished tied for 18th and was one stroke back of Weber (168- 87, 81).  Austin Zehel, competing as an individual, tied for 21st with a two day total of 172 (84, 88).

Joseph Hunt (174, 23rd place) and Justin Haddix (180, t-26th) rounded out Marywood's team scoring for the two day event.

Marywood closes out their fall season tomorrow with a trip to the Muhlenberg College Invitational.
