Wilkes-Barre, Pa. - After a morning match at Wilkes University got postponed due to wet courts, Marywood University defeated King's College 8-1 in non-conference women's tennis action Sunday afternoon at Kirby Park. The win improves the Pacers to 8-2 on the year.

Devin Zombek and Leah Dinsmore picked up an 8-2 win at three doubles to start things for Marywood and Danielle Ogonowski and Avery McCall followed with an 8-3 win at one doubles.  Melanie Kobela and Nicole Sinclair snuck out a 9-7 win at two doubles to give the Pacers a 3-0 lead heading into singles action.

Abygail Doud defeated Emkily Kabulka 6-3, 6-3 at #1 while Ogonowski was a 2-6, 6-2, 10-6 winner over Natalie Coffee at #2 singles.  

McCall picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at number three for Marywood before Alyssa Santarelli gave King's their lone point of the day with a 3-6, 6-4, 10-5 win over Kobela at four singles.

Sinclair (6-1, 6-0) and Emily Zarilli (6-3, 6-0) wrapped up the win for the Pacers at five and six singles, respectively.

Marywood will host Misericordia in non-conference action Tuesday at 3:30 pm.
