Avery McCall's 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) win at 3-singles sent Marywood to the CSAC title match Saturday Women's Tennis Advances to CSAC Title Match Women's Tennis - 10/21/2016 4:00:00 PM Match Results Philadelphia - Marywood University will face Gwynedd Mercy University for the fifth consecutive year in the CSAC Championship women's tennis match Saturday evening as the second seeded Pacers (13-3) defeated #3 Immaculata University 5-2 Friday afternoon in Philadelphia. Immaculata closed their season at 12-6. #1 Gwynedd Mercy was a 5-0 winner over #4 Cabrini University in the first CSAC semifinal Friday morning. The Pacers and Griffins will be meeting for the title and an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III tournament in the spring for the fifth straight season. Marywood upset the Griffins in 2012 but GMU has won three straight crowns since. The Pacers fell behind early to the Mighty Macs as Immaculata's Lauren Degnan and Kelly Gross defeated Abygail Doud and Kristen Lambert 8-2 at #1 doubles. Marywood's two and three doubles teams gave the Pacers a 2-1 lead heading into singles action with wins from two-doubles partners Avery McCall and Danielle Ogonowski (8-4) and the three-doubles duo of Melanie Kobela and Nicole Sinclair (8-5). In singles action, Sinclair made quick work of Immaculata's Timesha Smith (6-0, 6-1) and Kobela gave Marywood a 4-1 lead with a 6-3, 6-3 win at #5 sin0-gles. With the three remaining matches at one, three and four singles tight and matches at one and four singles heading to a third set each, Marywood's McCall sent the Pacers to the title match with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) win at three singles play. Doud's #1 singles match went unfinished with Doud trailing Degan 0-6, 7-6 (7-2), 0-1 as did Lambert's #4 singles match against Susan Callahan (6-4, 1-6, 2-3). Kelly Gross gave the Mighty Macs their other point with a 7-6 (7-0), 6-0 upset win over recently named CSAC Rookie of the Year Danielle Ogonowski.
