Pacers Deny Cyclones in CSAC Volleyball Finale

Hackettstown, N.J. - Marywood University closed out its Colonial States Athletic Conference volleyball season with a three-set victory Monday over Centenary University. The Pacers (15-16, 8-3) secure themselves with a No. 4 seed in the CSAC playoffs and will host a first round date against Immaculata, Notre Dame (Md.), or Clarks Summit. 

Marywood won by scores of 25-17, 25-11, 25-14. 

Peri Sheerin led the Pacers with 10 kills. Committing one error on 16 attempts, Sheerin totaled a .562 attack percentage. 

Marywood had a whale of a time at the service line with 17 aces. Shannon Hupert had a team-high five aces, and Danielle DeIulio totaled four. 

DeIulio averaged nine assists per set with 27 for the night. Mikayla Atwood garnered four blocks. 

Fresh off of her CSAC Honor Roll selection, Mallorie Deschaine was one shy of a double-double with nine kills and 14 digs. Deschaine committed just one error. 

Centenary received 11 assists and five kills. from Zooey Woody. Giana Montalvo totaled nine digs. 

Marywood travels to Western New York to face Utica, Keuka, Hiram and Houghton in a tournament.
