Scranton, Pa. – Dawson Driscoll won his 100th coaching victory at Marywood University with a 5-2 victory over Clarks Summit University Wednesday in Colonial States Athletics Conference men's soccer action. The Pacers can get the No. 6 seed in the CSAC playoffs with a win over Immaculata and a Neumann loss or draw to Rosemont this weekend.

Including his head coaching experience at Division II Tampa and Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri Science & Technology), Driscoll has a career record of 165-129-29.

The Pacers broke open a 2-2 tie with three consecutive goals over the final 50 minutes of the match.

Matthew Hull posted a season-best five points with two goals and an assist. Hull supplied the team with the game-winning goal – the sixth of his illustrious career. Five minutes after the Defenders equalized it at two apiece, Hull battled through three defenders and sent a shot past the goalkeeper from 15 yards away in the 43rd minute.

After an own goal in the 59th minute doubled the lead, Hull supplied the Pacers with an added insurance goal in the 75th. Hull one-timed a Cody Gangware pass from outside of the box for his fourth of the season.

Daniel Gallagher gave the Pacers an early lead in the eighth minute. Gallagher heeled a pass from Hull backwards into the net from four yards out. It was his fourth goal of the season to tie for the team lead.

Alex Chafe posted his first career goal in the 22nd minute. Chafe controlled a loose ball in the box and rifled it into net for a 2-0 advantage.

Ian Self manufactured both of the Clarks Summit goals. When the goalkeeper and attacker collided when going for the ball, Self took possession on the right side and put it into net in the 28th. Ten minutes later, he scored again on a penalty kick.

Both Patrick Brogan and Tommy McGlennon shared time in net with two saves apiece. Their counterparts – Ben Campbell and Tyler Austin – also made a combined four saves.

Marywood outshot the Defenders by a 19-11 margin. Marywood had three corner kicks to the Defenders' zero.

The Pacers travel to Immaculata on Saturday with CSAC playoff hopes on the line. Clarks Summit heads to Cairn looking for its first CSAC win.
