Marywood Picks Up First Road Win Over Neumann, 1-0

Aston, Pa. - For the first time in program history, Marywood University defeated Neumann University on their own turf.  Marywood snapped the skid thanks to a Zach Oster goal in the 76th minute of action and nine saves from Patrick Brogan.  The win also marks Head Coach Dawson Driscoll's 99th career victory at Marywood.

The Pacers improved to 4-6 overall and more importantly 2-1 in the CSAC.  Neumann fell to 3-9 (1-2 CSAC) with the loss.

Oster's heriocs came off a Jimmy Fields corner kick.  It was the senior's second tally of the season and his first game-winner.  

A scoreless first half saw Marywood outshot 4-2 by the Knights and Brogan keeping the hosts off the board with three first half stops, Neumann did not let up in the second stanza, doubling up the Pacers on shots (14-7).  For the game, Neumann had a 9-3 edge in shots on goal and corners (10-4).

After Oster's goal, Brogan made two stops in the final twelve minutes to preserve the shutout, his second clean sheet of the season.

Marywood will look to expand on their two match CSAC win streak Tuesday when they host league leading Centenary College (7-4, 3-0 CSAC) at 7:00 pm.
