Field Hockey Preps for CSAC Semifinal at Cabrini

Scranton, Pa. - Marywood University's is slotted as the number three seed in the Colonial States Athletic Conference field hockey tournament and are set to take on the number two seeded Cabrini University Cavaliers Wednesday in Radnor.

Marywood enters the contest with an overall mark of 12-6 while the hosts own a mark of 10-7.  Cabrini's lone regular season league setback (6-1) was to top-seed Gwynedd Mercy. The Pacers (5-2 CSAC) fell to the Griffins as well and to Cabrini.  

In their regular season meeting on October 19 in Radnor, the two teams entered halftime scoreless before Cabrini pulled out a 3-1 win.  Marywood's goal came from the stick of Gabbie Bower off a feed from Michaela Schmidt.

Bower leads Marywood with 32 points on team-highs of 12 goals and eight assists.  The senior has four game-winning goals this season.  Tori Jo Kakusian leads the Pacers' defense but also ranks second on the team in goals (11) and assists (3) as well as points (25).

Amelia Waibel ranks third goals (8) and points (19) while being tied with Kakusian and Lindsey Quinn with three assists.  Quinn has four goals and three assists for 11 points to her name while Lindsey Gladden has four goals and a helper for nine points.  In all, Marywood has goals from 14 different players on the year and points from 18.  

In goal, Kerri Mountz has started and played all 18 games of the season, loggin nearly 1200 minutes in the cage.  She has a 1.90 goals against average and 97 saves on the season.  Mountz is credited with all 12 wins for the Pacers and has five shutouts (four solo) on the year.

Taylor Mack leads the Cavaliers with and impressive 17 goals and 12 assists for 46 points.  Mack had two of Cabrini's three goals in the regular season meeting between the two schools while Jackie Neary (8 goals, 8 assists on season) had the other.  Maddie Worley ranks second for the Cavs in goals (15) and points (31).  

Taylor Bookman has done the majority of net-minding for Cabrini on the year and has a 2.83 goals against average with 70 saves.

Game time in Radnor is set for 4:30 pm at Edith Robb Dixon field.  Live stats and live video are available for those that cannot make the trip to Philadelphia.
