Scranton Tops Marywood in Swimming & Diving Action

Scranton, Pa. - The University of Scranton topped host Marywood University in both men's and women's swimming and diving action Saturday afternoon at Marywood's Aquatics Center.  The Royals' women won 184-113 while Scranton's men toppled Marywood 177-100.

Marywood got their first win of the afternoon from Mary Cate Coyle in the 200 free. Coyle touched in 2:06.56 to edge Scranton's Susannah Isleman who finished in 2:06.61.  

Bryon Scholl got the men a win in the 200 free as well, as he won with a time of 1:51.30. 

Paul Kraycer (57.12) won the 100 backstroke while Mia Nardone (2:18.12) won the 200 butterfly. Kraycer would later win the 50 free (23.07) and Courtney Snyder (198) won one-meter diving. Snyder would later win the 3-meter diving competition with a score of 206.

Nardone would win the 100 free in 57.72 while Scholl took the men's 100 free in 50 seconds flat. Scholl also took the 500 free in 5:08.72.

Joseph Buderwitz took the 400 IM in 4:44.62. 

Marywood is back in action December 2-4 at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) Invitational in Massachusetts.
