Wilkes-Barre, Pa. – Marywood University men's basketball fell behind early in a 110-92 loss to Wilkes University Saturday at the Cross County Challenge. The Colonels took a double-digit lead in the first nine minutes of the high-scoring contest.

The Pacers will take on King's College Sunday at 1 p.m. at Wilkes University's Marts Center.

Tip Swartz led three players in double figures. Swartz went 7 of 11 from the field for 23 points. He made four of five shots from beyond the arc.

Jeremy Ringland provided 20 points for the Pacers with a similar 7 of 11 shooting line. Connor Shroyer totaled 17 points in as many minutes.

Both teams shot lights-out from the field. Marywood made 60.4 percent of its shots, including a 70.4 percent mark during the second half. The Pacers hit nine of 12 3-pointers in the second half. Meanwhile, Wilkes connected on 59.7 percent of shots and knocked down 10 3-pointers in the first half.

Wilkes' Connor Evans posted a double-double with 25 points and 12 assists. Marcus Robinson generated 16 points. Quin Parsons went a perfect 5 for 5 from the field for 12 points, and Zach Brunner registered 10 points.

The Colonels move to 4-1 on the season. Marywood falls winless through four games.

Marywood cut a 34-point deficit to 18 in the second half. The Pacers outscored the Colonels 57-47 in the final 30 minutes.

Scranton beat King's 79-70 in the other Cross County Challenge game.
