Selinsgrove, Pa. – Marywood University fell to its second Landmark Conference women's basketball opponent in four days in a 59-43 loss to Susquehanna University Saturday on the road. The Pacers fall below .500 for the first time all season, and the River Hawks improve to 8-1.

Catie Nealon was the lone Marywood player in double figures with season-high 12 points. Nealon made 5 of 11 shots from the field and hit two 3-pointers. Natasha Hessling contributed 10 rebounds.

Janine Conway and Courtney Adams led the River Hawks with 14 points. Nikki Komara chipped in with 11 points. Both Nicole Gault and Lexi Briggs-Garcia each garnered eight rebounds.

Marywood started off well with an early first quarter lead. The Pacers turned around a two-point deficit with a seven point run – all scored by Gab Giordano. Giordano hit a jumper with 4:44 left to take a 10-5 lead. Susquehanna responded by totaling the final 12 points of the quarter to lead 17-10 at the break.

The Pacers struggled from the field at a 25.5 percent clip. Susquehanna made 39.3 percent of its shots. The River Hawks out-rebounded Marywood by a 42-34 rate.

Marywood will look to get back in the win column Monday when it hosts Lebanon Valley College.
