Rosemont, PA - Host Rosemont College used an early 11-0 run to break open a 4-3 game and went on to a 80-61 victory over Marywood Monday evening in CSAC men's basketball action. Cory Callejas led the Pacers with a game-high 20 points as the visitors fell to 5-14 overall and 1-11 in the league.

Callejas' strong night came on 6 of 10 shooting from the floor which included 6 of 8 from three point range. Tip Swartz added 13 for Marywood but was the only other Pacer in double figures.

Jamier Hughes and Marcus Thomas each had 19 for the Ravens (10-9, 8-4 CSAC) while Charles Presley and Khai Roberts joined them in double figures with 11 points apiece.

Up 4-3 early, Rosemont's 11-0 run over a nearly six minute span proved opened up an early cushion for the hosts which they would carry to halftime, going into the break up 40-19.

In a tale of two halves, the first stanza was to much for Marywood to recover from despite outscoring the Ravens 42-40 in the second frame. Marywood shot just 23% from the floor (5 of 22) in the first half before hitting 48% of their efforts in the second. Rosemont was the opposite, hitting over 50% of their shots in the first half and just 39% in the second, but their 21 point halftime lead was to much for Marywood to overcome.

Marywood returns to action Wednesday when they face off against Centenary College in the Insalaco Arena. Tip time is set for 7:00 pm.
