Clarks Summit, PA - Marywood University got two wins from newcomer Ahmed AlOreif but visiting Arcadia University picked up a 7-2 non-conference win over the Pacers Sunday afternoon at Birchwood Tennis Club in Clarks Summit as both teams opened spring men's tennis action.  Marywood fell to 0-2 on the year while the Knights improved to 2-3.

AlOreif helped Marywood earn both of their points on the day, picking up a 6-3, 6-4 win at #2 singles over Alex Colton and teaming with Alec Bird for a 9-7 win in the top doubles flight.

Brendan Brown and Dan Tintle took Ishan Kulkarni and Jaime Zeng to the wire in a 9-7 loss at #2 doubles.  

Bird played a tough first set against Ishan Kulkarni at #1 singles, falling 7-6 (9-7), 6-0.  


Marywood will resume play March 23 when they host Keystone College at 3:00 pm.
