Malory Porada had five hits, three of which were doubles, as Marywood swept Notre Dame Sunday Marywood Completes Strong Week with Sweep of Notre Dame Softball - 4/10/2016 8:13:00 PM Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Game 1 Box Score Game 2 Box Score Baltimore, MD - Marywood University completed a strong week on the softball diamond as the Pacers swept host Notre Dame of Maryland University 8-2 and 11-6 Sunday afternoon in CSAC action. Marywood finished the week 5-1 in league play to move to 10-8 on the year overall and 7-1 in the league. Notre Dame fell to 7-11, 3-7 CSAC with the losses. In the opener, Alexa Scala went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored while Mackie Goodwin was also 3-for-4 with two RBI as Marywood won, 8-2. Â Marywodo built an early 5-0 lead before giving two back in the fifth but answered with three runs over the final two innings to put the game away. Alyssa Bavaro got the win, striking out five and allowing two runs on eight hits in a complete game effort. Â Malory Porada was 2-for-4 with two RBI for Marywood. In the nightcap, Katie O'Meara, Brooke Labs and Porada all collected three hits asthe Pacers won 11-6. Â Marywood trailed 5-1 after two innings of play but answered with a six-run third and three-run fourth to take the lead for good. Porada had three doubles on the day while Labs had two and Kathleen Rossi collected another in game two to complete fine week at the plate. Â Marywood will host three CSAC doubleheaders this week beginning with Cabrini Tuesday at 3:00 pm.Print Friendly Version
