Selinsgrove, PA - A string of back-to-back overtime contests between Marywood University and Susquehanna University was broken Tuesday with the Pacers' 11-5 loss Tuesday to the Orange and Maroon. It marked the first time in seven meetings that the result was settled by more than three goals.

Scott Slater scored a hat trick to move within one of tying Nick Parks '11 and William Roerden '11 for second on the all-time goals scoring list. Slater has 104 goals for his career.

Jake Drexl came off the bench to score both of the other two goals for Marywood. Matt Casto and Rob Maini each finished with an assist.

Susquehanna had two goals and two assists from Alec Tzaneteas. Kade MacGregor tallied seven ground balls and four caused turnovers. Dylan Abplanalp made seven saves for the victory.

The Orange and Maroon defense dominated the Pacers (4-9) by winning the ground ball game by a 31-13 margin. Susquehanna outshot Marywood by a 36-15 rate.

Susquehanna came out of the gate with three unanswered goals in the first period. Greg Rabiecki fed a pair of goals to Tzaneteas and Andrew Porzio within a four-minute span. Jake DiGregio put Susquehanna ahead by three with two seconds left in the stanza.

Marywood finally put a crooked number on the scoreboard at the 9:29 mark of the second quarter when Slater relayed a Maini feed into the net. Nick Reardon extended the Susquehanna lead back to three 82 seconds later. Slater responded with another shortly after; however, the Orange and Maroon erased it with Prosper Odilatu's netter with 4:05 left in the half.

Susquehanna scored twice to start the second half to take a 7-2 lead. Marywood found redemption from Drexl and Slater to trim the deficit to four heading into the last quarter. The home team outscored Marywood 3-1 in the fourth.

Marywood returns home to face Neumann University Saturday at 1:00 pm for the team's Senior Day. The team will acknowledge seniors Stephen Deiner, Joe O'Connell, Scott Slater and Cody Bachman in their home finale.
