Kingston, PA - Abygail Doud won a tight singles match in the number two flight but that would be the only point Marywood would earn on the day as the Pacers fell to King's College 8-1 in non-conference women's tennis action Wednesday afternoon at Kirby Park.

Marywood dropped to 11-7 on the year while King's improved to 3-6 with the win.

Doud was a 6-4, 7-6 (7-0) winner over Julia Keppel in the tightest match of the day. King's, however, would win all other singles and doubles matches.

The Monarch's had a 3-0 lead after doubles with a pair of 8-3 wins at number one and two and an 8-1 win at number three.  King's would go on to take five of six singles matches.

Marywood will close out their spring season tomorrow with a cross town trip to the University of Scranton. Doubles play is set to begin at 4:00 pm.
