Radnor, PA - Marywood University improved to 3-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference and inched their way closer to another playoff berth as the Pacers (3-6 overall) defeated Cabrini College 7-2 in men's tennis action Friday afternoon in Radnor.

Marywood built an early 3-0 lead by taking all three doubles matches.  After a tight #1 doubles win (8-6) from Alec Bird and Dan Tintle, Marywood's #2 and #3 duos had much less trouble.  Brendan Brown and Bryon Scholl were 8-1 winners while Zack Haney and Momar Fall were 8-3 victors.

In singles play, Bird fell in the top flight 6-4, 6-1 but Marywood would win the next three matches at 2-5 singles to secure the league win.

Tintle beat Sean Jaeger 7-6, 2-7, 6-2 at #2 while Brown was a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 winner at #3.  Scholl (6-1, 6-1) won at #4 and Haney earned a 6-2, 6-2 win at #5 for Marywood.

Marywood can clinch a CSAC playoff berth Saturday with a win over Rosemont.  The Pacers will travel to take on the Ravens in Rosemont at 1:00 pm.
