Baltimore, MD - Caitlin Watson scored the most goals for a Marywood University player in a single game in four seasons to carry the Pacers to an 15-7 victory over Notre Dame of Maryland University Saturday in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's lacrosse action. Watson netted six to match a figure last produced in 2013 by Sarah Caughy '14 and Kimberly Commisso '14.

Erin Healy also totaled six points on four goals and two assists. Natalie Burke had three assists, in addition to one goal, to move into fourth on the Marywood all-time assists list with her 40th. Michelle Thompson also provided three assists.

Healy and Haley Risi each garnered four ground balls. Lauren Smith took her 21st career victory with nine saves.

Kaitlyn Walter and Megan Morales each produced a hat trick for the Gators. Kristin McGee secured six ground balls and two assists.

Marywood (5-8, 5-2 CSAC) joins Cabrini, Neumann, Immaculata and Centenary as the five teams already qualified for the CSAC playoffs. The Pacers' remaining conference schedule is against the other two teams (Immaculata and Centenary) jockeying for playoff position with two CSAC losses.

Marywood scored twice in the first 28 seconds to take an early lead over the Gators. Catson found the net within moments of the draw control, and Healy tacked on the team's second 20 ticks later. After Healy added another to make it 3-0, the Gators stormed back with back-to-back netters from Walter and Brittany Smith. Sam Bussinelli kicked off five straight Marywood goals, but Notre Dame quickly came back with a pair from Morales to trim the deficit to two with 6:39 remaining in the half. Burke gave the Forest Green and Gold an 8-5 lead into halftime by putting a Thompson pass past the keeper.

Marywood scored the first five goals of the second half, outperforming the Gators by a 7-2 advantage.

Despite the score, the Pacers edged Notre Dame 25-22 in shots and owned a slight 28-24 favor in ground balls.

Marywood has a pair of decisive battles this week when it hosts Immaculata Tuesday and Centenary Saturday.
