Women's Golf Defeats Wilkes & Arcadia in Match Play

Mount Cobb, PA - Marywood University closed their inaugural women's golf season with two match play wins over Wilkes and Arcadia. The Pacers finished their first season with a 3-3 record after a 3-1 win over the Colonels and a 4-0 defeat of the Knights. The matches were played at Scranton Municipal Golf Course in Mount Cobb.

Wilkes also beat Arcadia, 4-0.

In the Pacers' 3-1 win over Wilkes, Christiane Lowcher defeated Christy Taylor by nine shots with eight holes remaining to play (9&8).  Emily Osborne and Kim Geary both won two up while Wilkes' Beth Reyes earned the Colonels a point with a 2 up win over Alexa Gerchman.

Gerchman rebounded in her match against Arcadia's Rose Georgia, 8 & 7.  Lowcher was a 10&8 winner while Osborne and Geary both won 9 & 8.
