Scranton, PA - Summit University of Pennsylvania picked up a 6-3 win over Marywood University in men's tennis action to clinch the #2 seed in the CSAC post season.  The Defenders (9-4, 6-1 CSAC) will meet the Pacers again Friday in the Conference semifinals, as Marywood (5-7, 5-2 CSAC) will be the #3 seed.

Marywood won the #1 doubles flight 8-3 as Alec Bird and Dan Tintle picked up the win, but the Defenders responded with 8-1 and 8-2 wins at #2 and #3 doubles respectively to take a 2-1 lead heading into singles.

Despite wins from Bird (6-4, 6-1) and Tintle (6-2, 6-2) at one and two singles, Summit won at three through six to pick up the win.

Marywood and Summit will take the courts at a time to be determined Friday.  Top-seed Gwynedd Mercy will host an opponent yet to be determined in the first semifinal Friday morning.
