Scranton, PA - Marywood University defeated visiting Centenary College in both ends of a conference doubleheader Tuesday afternoon in Scranton. The Pacers improved to 16-10 overall and 13-3 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference with 11-3 and 8-3 wins.

Marywood took the opener in six innings.  The Pacers trailed 2-0 early but erupted for five runs in the third highlighted by a two-run double from Brooke Labs.  Kathleen Rossi drew a bases loaded walk for an RBI while Mackie Goodwin hit a sac fly to right to bring home a run.  Marywood's other run would come when Rossi scored on a wild pitch at the end of the inning.

Leading 5-2, Marywood gave one back in the fourth but then plated six runs combined in the fifth and sixth innings to put the game away early.  Goodwin tripled to right field to bring home both runs in the fifth while Malory Porada, Labs and Kate O'Meara all picked up RBIs in the sixth.

Kirstie Alvarez allowed to earned runs and struck out three in a complete-game win to improve to 8-2 on the year.  Labs and Rossi were each 2-for-3 in the opener with Labs and Goodwin each bringing in three runs.

Alexa Scala, O'Meara and Goodwin picked up two hits apiece in the nightcap as Marywood again came back from an early deficit to defeat the Cyclones.

The Pacers trailed 3-0 through three and a half innings played but again used a big inning to take the lead for good.  A six-run fourth and a two-run fifth gave the Pacers the 8-3 win.

Stephanie Bagniewski brought in two runs with a big double down the left field line to cap the fourth inning rally for Marywood.

Alyssa Bavaro (3-5) got the win, going the distance and allowing two earned runs on eight hits while striking out three.
