Aston, PA - Host Neumann University remained unbeaten in the CSAC (16-0) and improved to 19-11 on the year with a doubleheader sweep of Marywood University Friday afternoon in Aston.  The Knights took game one 10-0 in five innings and the nightcap 6-0 over the Pacers, who had a six-game win streak snapped and fell to 16-12 (13-5 CSAC) with the losses.

Neumann broke open a tight game in the opener with a nine-run third inning after leading the Pacers 1-0 through two.  Kirstie Alvarez (8-3) suffered just her third loss of the year on the mound after allowing nine runs on nine hits through two innings worked.  Amanda Bridgwood allowed one run on two hits in the final two innings.

Marywood managed just three hits in the opener, one apiece from Brooke Labs, Kate O'Meara and Heather Schultz.

Marywood again struggled at the plate in game two, collecting just four hits as the Pacers fell, 6-0.  Katie Siano (3-3) took the loss after allowing all six runs on eight hits.  Bridgwood again pitched admirably in the nightcap, allowing no runs and just one hit in two more innings of relief.

Marywood will host Rosemont College tomorrow at 1:00 pm.  The Pacers will honor their seniors in between games.
