Pacers Turn it on in the Fourth for 9-7 Comeback Win over Macs

Immaculata, PA – Marywood University erased a two-goal deficit in the final eight minutes to score the final four goals in a 9-7 come-from-behind victory over Immaculata University Saturday in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's lacrosse action. The win guarantees the Pacers a spot in the CSAC playoffs.

Cody Bachman became the eighth player in Marywood program history to reach the 100 Point Club. Bachman scored four goals and two assists for his 101th career point.

Bachman took over down the stretch with three points in the Pacers' four goal game-winning comeback. Forty seconds after Mike Reardon put the Mighty Macs ahead 7-5, Bachman cut the lead in half. Just over a minute later, he added another unassisted goal to both even the score at seven apiece with 6:11 remaining and establish himself into the lucrative 100 Point Club.

Rob Maini found a way past the keeper for the game-winning goal via Matt Cast at the 4:37 mark. Scott Slater added an insurance point from Bachman with less than two minutes left.

Slater moved into second in career goals with two in the team's penultimate regular season game. He jumped Nick Parks '11 and William Roerden '11 with goals Nos. 106 and 107 of his career.

Casto added a goal and two assists for three points. Maini provided a goal and an assist.

Chris Favale made nine saves, allowing seven, in his third start of the season.

Riley Litman had seven ground balls with 12 faceoff wins. Joe O'Connell caused three turnovers and scooped two ground balls. Justin Einwechter had three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Immaculata's valiant effort was driven by Mike Reardon's four goals. Matt Krewson matched him in points with a goal and three assists. John Abruzzo had four ground balls.

The Pacers stand at 6-9 overall with a 4-2 conference record. Immaculata falls to 6-9 overall and 2-4 CSAC.
  
Third place is on the line in Wednesday's CSAC finale between the Pacers and Centenary. The winner of the Hackettstown, N.J. tilt will face No. 2 Gwynedd Mercy, and the loser will travel to nationally ranked Cabrini.
