Scranton, PA - Scott Slater became the fourth player in Marywood University men's lacrosse history to join the 100th Goal Club in a 17-2 loss to No. 14 Cabrini College Friday in Colonial States Athletic Conference action. Slater reached the feat in the first period to tie the game at one apiece.

Austin Maylor scored the only other goal for the Pacers. Rob Maini and Stephen Deiner each provided an assist.

Cabrini was led by Evan Downey with three goals and two assists. Matt LoParo was the leading point-getting with a goal and five assists. Jordan Klug added a goal and three assists.

Cabrini opened with a goal from Nicholas Waligursi within the first two minutes. Slater evened it up at one apiece at the 7:08 mark of the first period. Timmy Brooks and Downey closed the period with a pair of goals.

Brooks' goal started a string of 16 consecutive Cabrini goals.

Cabrini outshot Marywood by a 50-20 margin. The Cavaliers had a 37-27 edge in ground balls, and Cabrini won 75 percent of the faceoffs.

Defensively, Boddy Sedlock caused three turnovers. Rob Maini and Cody Bachman each had four ground balls.

Marywood travels to Susquehanna University Tuesday in what has become an exciting rivalry the past few years.
