Langhorne, PA - Marywood dropped both ends of a doubleheader at Cairn University Saturday to end the 2016 season. The Pacers lost 3-0 and 7-0 to the Highlanders.

Marywood closes the 2016 season with 10-23 overall mark (1-16 league).  Cairn ended at 19-16, 5-12 CSAC.

The Highlanders scored three first inning runs in the opener and made them stand the entire seven innings to win 3-0.  Justin Haddix struck out three over five innings in the loss.  Nick DeCandia struck out one and allowed one hit in one inning of relief. 

James Goetz and Alan Nieto each went 1-for-3 to account for Marywood's two hits.

In the nightcap, Cairn used a four-run third to break open a 0-0 game and went on for a 7-0 win over the Pacers.

Nieto went 1-for-2 in the nightcap and Daniel Hull went 1-for-3.  Zach Andress picked up a hit as well as did Tommy Smith.

Goetz took the loss in four innings of work on the mound while Justin Perez and Casey Reed each threw an inning.
