Salisbury, Md. - The Marywood University volleyball came away with four set wins, despite falling in all four matches at the Sea Gull Classic in Salisbury, Md. The Pacers went four or five sets in three of their matches on Friday and Saturday. 

Mallorie Deschaine was named to the Sea Gull Classic All-Tournament Team. Deschaine provided 42 kills and 33 digs over the weekend. 

Marywood lost in three sets to host Salisbury University, tournament champions with a 4-0 record. Marywood lost 3-1 to Virginia Wesleyan and McDaniel. The Pacers needed all five sets to decide their match against Elizabethtown. 

Elizabethtown 3, Marywood 2

Marywood had its best performance of the season in a 25-23, 15-25, 25-18, 24-26, 15-8 loss to the Blue Jays. Marywood shot a season-best .208 attack percentage. 

Deschaine finished with 20 kills, marking the third-most kills in a five-set match. She made five errors on 46 attempts for a .326 attack percentage. 

Jordan Vossler came close to making the record books herself with seven aces. Peri Sheerin accounted for four of the team's 11 1/2 blocks. Katherine McGrath provided four total blocks and 10 kills.

Shayna Finn led four players with double digit assists with 14. Lauren Besecker and Jordan Vossler both produced 12 digs. Gabby Santos had 10 digs. 

Danielle DeIulio tabbed 35 assists to surpass a career high, previously set last season (33) against Ursinus. 

Va. Wesleyan 3, Marywood 1

Marywood tied the match up in the second set but ultimately fell to the Marlins by scores of 25-15, 21-25, 25-14, 25-16. 

Deschaine led the Pacers with 12 kills and 17 digs. DeIulio yielded 26 assists. 

Despite falling in the fourth set, Marywood committed only two errors for a .310 attack percentage. 

McDaniel 3, Marywood 1

Marywood rebounded from a tumultous start to grab a set in a 25-7, 25-8, 20-25, 25-16 loss to the Green Terror. Marywood shot .091 for the match. 

Sheerin had seven kills for Marywood. DeIulio chipped in with 18 assists. Santos tabbed 12 digs. 

Salisbury 3, Marywood 0

Volleyball powerhouse Salisbury routed the Pacers with a resounding 25-10, 25-11, 25-12 victory. The Pacers had a negative attack percentage for the first time since an Oct. 6, 2015 loss to Cabrini College. 

Deschaine again had a team-high seven kills. Vossler put down nine digs. DeIulio had 11 assists. 

Marywood hopes to get its first win of the season when it travels to rival Keystone College Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
