Field Hockey Dominates Wells in 3-0 Road Win

Aurora, N.Y. - Marywood University was dominate both offensively and defensively as the Pacers improved to 4-2 with a 3-0 road win at Wells College Sunday afternoon.  The Pacers out-shot the Express (2-6) 23-1 and did not allow a shot on goal in the win.

Tori Jo Kakusian started the scoring for Marywood just under nine minutes into the contest when she blasted home a Gabbie Bower penalty corner.  It would be Bower's first assist of two on the day.

Not even 10 minutes later Bower found Cassie Stockwell in a scramble in front of the net and Stockwell put home the insurance goal.

Going ito halftime with a 2-0 lead and a 6-1 advantage in shots, Marywood dominated the second half, taking 17 shots while not allowing the Express to get one off on Kerri Mountz.

Mountz would record her third clean sheet of the season without being forced to make a save in 70 minutes of action.

In the 55th minute, Gwyneth Gleason played a corner into Lindsey Gladden who put one home inside the left post to make it 3-0. The tally was Gladden's first collegiate goal while Gladden picked up her first collegiate assist.

The Pacers had 13 shots on goal while not conceeding any and had a 12-0 advantage in penalty corners.

The Pacers will take on cross-town rival The University of Scranton Wednesday at the Royals' Fitzpatrick Field at 7:00 pm.
