Scranton, Pa. – Marywood University dropped both matches in a tri-match held Thursday at cross-town The University of Scranton. The Pacers fell to the Royals in three sets in the opener before losing to Wilkes University in four sets.

Marywood fell to the Royals by scores of 25-22, 25-17, 25-19. The Pacers took the first set against the Colonels before dropping 23-25, 25-19. 27-25, 25-22.

In the opener, Peri Sheerin tallied nine kills for a .296 attack percentage. Danielle DeIulio provided the Pacers with 23 assists.

Both Shayna Finn and Gabby Santos reached double figures in digs with 15 and 11, respectively. Santos also generated three of the team's five aces.

Marywood shot .097 for the match. The Royals had a .278 shooting night.

Kristin Kirwan led the Royals with 13 kills. Erica Byrne totaled 15 digs, and Brittany Cafiero garnered 20 assists.

In the night cap, Santos and Sheerin each enjoyed excellent outings offensively. Santos tallied 16 kills, and Sheerin marked for 15 kills.

DeIulio aided the Pacers with a double-double. She scored 32 assists and 19 digs, in addition to three blocks. Finn added a season-high 20 digs defensively. Shannon Hupert also supplied the team with 11 digs.

Mikayla Attwood matched DeIulio with three blocks.

Marywood shot .110 for the match, compared to the Colonels' .226.

Wilkes had four players in double figures for kills and digs. Ally Paskas' 15 kills led Madison Scarfaro, Jamey Mikovich and Grace Boyle, all of whom had 10 kills.

Shayna Fehrle totaled 21 digs for the Colonels. Mikovich, Boyle and Paskas each tabbed double figures defensively to get a double-double.

Alexis Morgan had 45 assists.

Marywood returns to Reading, Pa. for the second time this week when it faces Rosemont College and Alvernia University.
