Scranton Defeats Marywood in Men's Tennis Action

Scranton, Pa. - The University of Scranton allowed just five points on the afternoon as the Royals (2-0) defeated Marywood University 9-0 in the Pacers' season opening men's tennis match.  

Ahmed Al-Oreif fell to Alex Ochalski 2-6, 2-6 to earn Marywood's only four points in singles play.  Steven Price, Bryon Scholl, Brendan O'Rourke, John Shebby and Ulises Munoz-Santos all fell 6-0, 6-0 to their opponents from the University of Scranton.

In doubles, Marywood lost 8-0 in the first and third flight while Scholl and Shebby lost 8-1 at number two doubles.

Marywood returns to action October 1 when they travel to Kirby Park to take on Wilkes University.
