Scranton, Pa. - Gabby Bower completed a strong week with a hat trick and assist Saturday afternoon which helped Marywood field hockey to a 4-0 win over visiting Cedar Crest College in the CSAC opener for both schools.  The Pacers stand at 6-2 on the year after winning their third straight while the Falcons slipped to 3-3.

Despite dominating the game in shots, Marywood struggled to find the back of the net early.  With just over seven minutes left in the opening half, Bower took a cross from Amelia Waibel and knocked it home from 14 yards out to put the Pacers up 1-0.

Kenzie Drew would then double the Marywood lead with 4:44 to go before the half as she took a pass from Bower on a penalty corner and shot from just inside the arc straight in.

Two and a half minutes after halftime, Bower made it 3-0 when she scored off a scramble in front of the Falcons' cage.

Bower would close the scoring with just under 20 to play when she netted her second unassisted tally of the afternoon on a tap-in off two previous shot attempts.

Bower completed the week with five goals and an assist for 11 points.

Kerri Mountz made one stop to pick up her fourth clean sheet of the season.  Marywood out-shot Cedar Crest 32-2 on the day (20-1 on goal).  The Pacers also had an 11-1 advantage in penalty corners.

Marywood hosts Gwynedd Mercy in a key early season CSAC battle Wednesday night at 7:00 pm.
