Scranton, Pa. - Sophomore forward Megan Swiecicki made the most of her birthday by recording a hat trick in Marywood's 6-0 win over Cedar Crest College in Saturday's CSAC showdown in Scranton. The win was Marywood's second in a row and first clean sheet as the Pacers moved to 2-4-1 (2-0 CSAC).  The Falcons fell to 4-3 (0-1 CSAC) with the loss.

After scoring two goals in Tuesday's 8-1 win over Cairn, Shea Olszewski earned the start Saturday and promptly proved her worth when she ripped home a 16-yard blast off a feed from Aly Barlok to put the Pacers up 1-0 in the 14th minute.

Five minutes later, Swiecicki started her strong day by tapping in a cross from Jackie VonItter.  Defender Elizabeth Carlson got in on the scoring fun in the 24th minute when she chipped home a corner kick from Julie Youngman.

With a 3-0 lead at the break, Marywood would double their total before the end of the game.  Swiecicki would score in the 50th and 51st minute off feeds from Brianna Bruster and Barlock to make it 5-0 before Ashley Kruchinsky would tap home a Desi Rill slot pass in the 75th minute to close the scoring.

Marywood out-shot the Falcons 30-3 on the day and did not allow a shot on goal as Aly Moyer picked up the shutout without making a save.

Marywood hosts Centenary College in a key early season CSAC battle Tuesday at 4:00 pm.
