DeIulio Gets 1,000th Assist in Pacers' Triumph of Highlanders

Langhorne, Pa. – Marywood University junior setter Danielle DeIulio scored her 1,000th career assist in the Pacers' three-set victory over Cairn University Wednesday in Colonial States Athletic Conference action. The Pacers downed the Highlanders by scores of 25-14, 25-9, 25-12.

Coming into today's match needing one to reach the plateau, DeIulio captured 26 to make it 1,025 assists for her career. She also added five digs.

Peri Sheerin provided the Pacers with 13 kills and a .360 attack percentage. Gabby Santos totaled nine kills. She did not make any errors on her 14 attempts for a .643 attack percentage.

Shayna Finn led the Pacers defensively with nine digs. Jordan Vossler had five aces and eight digs.

Marywood shot .321 for the contest. The Pacers committed just seven errors on the game. Cairn finished with a .056 hitting percentage.

The Highlanders' Ashley Wharton totaled 14 digs. Liz White made 14 assists.

Marywood travels to Gwynedd Mercy University this weekend to battle the Griffins and University of Valley Forge.
