Scranton, Pa. - Rosemont College used a quick first half run and a strong second half performance to topple Marywood University 86-68 in CSAC men's basketball action Wednesday evening at the Insalaco Arena.  The Ravens improved to 7-7 (5-2 CSAC) after an 18 point, 12 assist night from Clayton Wolfe.  Marywood got a game high 22 from Jeremy Ringland but fell to 1-13 (1-6 CSAC).

The Ravens opened the game on a 12-0 run and extended that lead to 19-4 moments later.  But Marywood would close the gap and find themselves down 24-20 with 4:14 to go in the frame.

Charles Presley hit a three for the visitors to make it 29-22 with 2:35 to go, but Ringland later answered with a lay-in to make it 29-26 with 1:45 left.

Marywood then had a chance to tie with a three or get within one with a field goal, but Rosemont forced a turnover and converted a traditional three-point play to build a 32-26 lead with just over a minute left.  A pair of free throws from Marywood's Tyler Anderson made it 32-28 in favor of the visitors at the break.

Ringland led Marywood with 12 first half points on 6 of 10 shooting and James Curley added six points on two long balls to help Marywood close the gap.

After Michael Rotell opened the second half with a pair of free throws for the Pacers to make it 33-32, Rosemont used a 7-0 run that included two three pointers to extend their lead to 40-32.

It seemed Marywood used much of their energy climbing out of that early deficit, and Rosemont would later turn back-to-back turnovers into traditional three point plays to gain a 14 point advantage, 59-45, with 11:46 to go.

For the game, Ringland's game-high of 22 came on 9 of 13 shooting while Curley added 14.  Rosemont had five players in double digits and got the double-double from Wolfe.

Marywood hosts Cairn Saturday at 3:00 pm.
