Pacers Roll over Ravens to Extend Streak to Four

Scranton, Pa. - Marywood University freshman Jordan Barth scored her first career double-double to lead the Pacers to a 73-51 victory over Rosemont College Wednesday in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball action. Extending their four-game winning streak, Marywood (9-6, 5-1 CSAC) moves into a tie with Gwynedd Mercy University for second place. 

Barth finished with career highs in points and rebounds with 16 and 12, respectively. She made seven of 11 shots and tallied a pair of blocks. Eight of her 11 rebounds were on the offensive side of the ball.

Natasha Hessling matched her season-best for the fourth time with 17 points. She has reached double figures in five of the past six games. 

Catie Nealon added nine points and five assists. Gab Giordano supplied nine rebounds. Erika Thomas posted a season-best six assists. 

The Ravens started fresh with an early 7-4 lead, thanks to a seven-point run in a 67-second span. Marywood followed with a seven-point run of their own. Alyssa Olson tied it at 9-9 with 5:14 left in the first and fed an assist to Hessling to take the lead on the ensuing possession. 

Rosemont kept things in arm's reach in the second quarter, cutting the deficit to four on an Ayanna Thompson 3-pointer with 27 seconds left. Olson hit a jump shot from Nealon with second ticks left to go into the break with a 39-33 lead. 

Marywood outscored Rosemont 20-10 in the third and 14-8 in the fourth quarters. 

The Pacers shot 44.9 percent from the field to the Ravens' 27.1 percent. Marywood struggled from the 3-point line at a 17.6 percent clip. Marywood dominated the boards by outproducing the Ravens by a 52-39 margin. 

Rosemont (2-12, 1-5 CSAC) was led by the Naone-Carter sister, both of whom finished with 11 points.
