Cavaliers Sink Marywood in CSAC Action

Radnor, Pa. - Host Cabrini College used a 13-2 first half run to break open a tight game and then cruised to a 85-67 win over Marywood Saturday afternoon in CSAC men's basketball action. The win moves the Cavaliers to 8-1 in the league (12-4 overall) while Marywood fell to 3-14 (3-7).

Connor Shroyer had a team high for the second game in a row with 19 while Jeremy Ringland was the only other Marywood player in double digits with 11.  Tyheim Monroe led four Cabrini players in double digits with a game high 24.

Down 17-16 after a Michael Rotell jumper, Cabrini answered with a key 13-2 run to take a 29-19 lead.

From there, Marywood cut the deficit to three (22-19) after a pair of Tyler Anderson free throws, but the hosts extended their lead back to nine (34-25) by halftime.

Marywood cut the Cavalier to single digits just once in the second half. 

Marywood is back in action Wednesday when they host Gwynedd Mercy University at 8:00 pm.
