Aston, Pa. – Twentieth ranked Neumann University used a pair of second half runs to pull away from visiting Marywood University as the Knights improved to 10-0 (4-0 CSAC) with a 91-70 win over the Pacers Tuesday evening outside Philadelphia.

Marywood (0-11, 0-4 CSAC) had the hosts on their heels for the entire first half as the Pacers built an 18-12 lead after a layup from James Curley.  The Knights responded with a 5-0 run to pull to within on before Tom DeFilippo gave Marywood a three point (20-17) lead with just under 11 to go on another layup.

Neither team would gain more than a six-point edge the rest of the stanza and Marywood knotted the game at 31 on the strength of a Tip Swartz three with 1:55 to go, and a lay-in from Jeremy Ringland gave the Pacers a 38-35 lead heading into the locker room for half.

A 11-0 run to start the second put the hosts back up, and the Knights exploded on a 18-6 run later in the stanza to break the game open after Marywood clawed their way back to tie the game up at 50-50.

Darian Barnes led the Knights with a game-high 32 points. DeShawn Lowman added 23 while Carl Wallace (21) and Tyaire Hudson (13) also reached double figures for the hosts.  Barnes added 14 rebounds and Lowman had 10 as both completed double-doubles.

Ringland led Marywood with 15, while Swartz added 12.

Marywood is back in action Thursday when it travels to nearby LaPlume to face Keystone College at 8:00 pm.
