Scranton, Pa. - Top-seeded Marywood University's conference championship hopes were dashed in 67-63 loss to No. 5 Cabrini College Wednesday in the Colonial States Athletic Conference semifinals. Both of the top two seeds lost, and the Cavs will travel to third-seeded Gwynedd Mercy Saturday for the title game.

The Pacers (18-8) were led by a season-best effort from Jordan Barth, who posted 20 points, seven rebounds and six blocks. Gab Giordano supplied 17 points and eight rebounds. Alyssa Olson contributed 13 points.

Marywood struggled from the free throw line. The Pacers made just eight of 17 shots for a season-low 47.1 percent mark. Conversely, Cabrini went 28 for 34 from the charity stripe for an 82.4 percent clip.

After Marywood went ahead by six for its largest lead of the game, the Pacers were held scoreless for a 6:35 stretch in the fourth quarter. Barth put the Pacers ahead 51:45 with 8:44 left, and the Cavaliers responded with a 13-point run. Myonie Williamson tied the game at 51 apiece with a layup, and Cabrini went ahead on a pair of Nomi Washington free throws with 5:04 left in the game.

As the Cavaliers lead expanded to 57-51 on an Erin Dodds layup with 2:46 left, Giordano injected the Pacers with their first life when she swished a 3-pointer at the 2:19 mark.

Giordano missed a free throw with 36 seconds remaining; however, Kylie Devin scrambled for an offensive rebound at the base line that culminated in Olson corralling an offensive board and laying it in to make it a one possession game (62-59) with 30 seconds left.

Cabrini was successful on three of four free throw attempts to expand the lead to six with 16 seconds. Barth caught a laser from Catie Nealon and cut the deficit to 65-61 with nine seconds remaining. She missed the and-1, and Marywood caught a break on an offensive rebound. On the inbound play, Nealon connected with Barth again to bring it to a two-point game with eight seconds left.

Unfortunately for the Pacers, Dodds made both free throws with five seconds left to seal the win.

Cabrini (16-11) received 19 points from Dodds. Renee Oliver had 12 points and nine rebounds before bowing out to foul trouble. Washington registered 14 points and six steals.

Marywood will find out its postseason fate at the ECAC selection show Monday.
