Newburgh, N.Y. – Mount Saint Mary College rallied from a six-goal deficit to defeat Marywood University 10-9 in overtime Tuesday in the Pacers' first road men's lacrosse game of the year. The Pacers fall to 2-2 after their second one-goal differential in a row.

Dylan De Meo scored an unassisted game-winner for the Knights exactly one minute into the overtime period.

Rob Maini led the Pacers with a career-high five goals. Matt Casto finished with a goal, three assists, and three caused turnovers. Austin Maylor provided a goal and two assists for three points.

Marywood scored the first six goals of the game, holding the Knights scoreless for the first 24 minutes of the contest. Mount Saint Mary outscored the Pacers 6-2 during the second and overtime periods.

After Maini's third consecutive goal put the Pacers ahead by a half dozen to open the game, Mount Saint Mary netted four straight in a 5:05 span to cut the deficit in two. Maini sent the Pacers into halftime with a 7-4 lead after a redeeming goal from Casto with 23 seconds remaining.

Mount Saint Mary kept momentum going into the third period, opening with three straight goals. Nicholas Graziano's man-up goal at the 3:53 mark evened the score at seven apiece. Matt Mitarotonda reclaimed the lead with 74 seconds left in the quarter.

Graziano tied the contest again with 7:22 left in regulation. Marywood held on for dear life until Maini lifted the Pacers to a 9-8 lead with 4:35 remaining with a goal from Maylor.

The Pacers' lead quickly vanished 12 seconds later when Danny Kugler scored the goal that sent the contest to overtime.

Marywood attempted one shot in the final five minutes, a Maini shot that sailed high 36 seconds before regulation's expiration.

Riley Litman won 13 of 22 faceoffs and collected six ground balls. Zach Beja had five ground balls.

Vinny Biancardi made 10 saves in 61 minutes of work.

The Pacers outshot Mount Saint Mary by a 45-29 margin and won the ground ball game with a 36-24 advantage. Marywood struggled with their clears to the tune of a 10-for-16 success rate.

De Meo finished with a goal and five assists for the Knights. Christoper Doerr made a baker's dozen saves.

Marywood hopes to get back into the win column Saturday when it travels to Stockton University.
