Langorne, Pa. – Cairn University held visiting Marywood University to just four points over the final 7:56 of the game as the Highlanders picked up a 57-43 win over the Pacers in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's basketball action Saturday evening.

The Pacers' playoff hopes diminished as they fall to 4-17 (4-10 CSAC).  Cairn moved to 5-15 (3-11 league) with the win.  The Highlanders closed the game on a 19-4 run over the final eight minutes of action to earn the win.

Jeremy Ringland had more than half of Marywood's points on the night after recording a game-high 22 points.  No other Pacer reached double figures.

Cairn was led by Jeremiah Harris who had 14.  Zachary Dolton added 13.

Neither team shot well from behind the arc, but Marywood went just 4 of 21 (19%) from long distance and was unable to sink a three in the second half (0 of 11).

Marywood was held to just 14 points in the second frame and despite the Pacers' bench outscoring that of the Highlanders 24-8, the Pacers could not convert late.

Marywood resumes action Wednesday with a trip to Hackettstown, New Jersey for an 8:00 pm CSAC game at Centenary.
