Johnson Ties for Third as Pacers Fall to Whittier

Industry Hills, Calif. - Nicholas Johnson fired a seven-over-par 78 to lead Marywood but the Pacers fell to host Whitter College 308-363 at Industry Hills Golf Club in California Saturday.  Tyler Bliss led the Poets with a medalist round of 72, one-over-par.

Maxwell Meisenheimer followed Bliss with a round of 77 on the par 71, 6,531 yard course.  Johnson finished tied for third with Nicholas Medeiros of Whittier, while Tyler Hoefferle finished the team scoring for the hosts with a round of 81 to give the Poets a team total of 308.

Austin Zehel shot a 94 to finish sixth, while Fred Tolerico (95) and Joe Weber (96) rounded out Marywood's team score of 363.  Joseph Hunt also competed, shooting a 105.  

Marywood is back on the links April 10 at the Cabrini University Invitational, to be held at Bellewood Golf & Country Club in North Coventry, the site of the 2017 CSAC Championships.  The Pacers will spend the rest of their spring break trip to California practicing.
