Industry Hills, Calif. - Taylor Beckwith led host Whittier College with a low round of 77 as the Poets defeated Marywood women's golf 342-432 at Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms Saturday.  Marywood was led by Christiane Lowcher's team-low of 101.

The Poets took the top five spots on the day, as Beckwith's medalist honors were followed by Kajal Vitha (85), Ciara Clark (88) and Alexandra Proulx (92) to complete the team score of 342.  Alison Nieh shot a 95.

Unfortunately for the Pacers, no player could get below 100 on the challenging Par 71, 5,845 yard course.  Serena Woody followed Lowcher with a 103 while Tessa Briselden shot a 109.  Kimberly Geary had a 119 to round out Marywood's team score of 432 while Mariah Casey (130) and Rachel Sclafani (135) also competed for the Pacers.

This is the only match the Pacers will play in California as the rest of the team's spring break trip will consist of practice.  Marywood is back in action March 21 at the Eastern University Invitational in St. Davids.
