LaPlume, Pa. - Marywood University men's tennis picked up their first win of the season as the Pacers defeated Keystone College 9-0 in CSAC action Wednesday. Marywood improved to 1-5 (1-2 CSAC) with the win while the Giants remain winless at 0-3 (0-1).

Marywood went up 3-0 after doubles action to set the Pacers up for their first win of the campaign.  Eddie Sanborn III and Bryon Scholl earned a 8-6 win over Colin Franco and Dan Greenip at the top doubles flight, while Brendan O'Rourke and John Shebby were 8-4 victors over Ross Haberek and David Richards.

Momar Fall and Ulises Munoz-Santos blanked Tim Dunbar and Thomas Lamond, 8-0, to put Marywood up 3-0.

In singles play, Scholl defeated Greenip at number one 6-0, 6-0 and Munoz-Santos defeated Dunbar at the six-singles spot by an identical score.

Franko took O'Rourke to three sets but fell, 5-7, 6-4, 10-7 at number two.  John Shebby earned a win at three singles, 6-0, 4-0 as Haberek retired during the second set.

Fall (6-4, 6-1) and Sanborn III (6-3, 7-5) also won in singles action for the Pacers. 

Marywood is back in action Friday when they host Rosemont at 3:30 pm.
