Hackettstown, N.J. - Marywood University's softball team continued its hot streak as the Pacers swept host Centenary University Thursday afternoon in CSAC action.  Marywood took the opener 13-3 and the nightcap 12-0, both in five innings.  Marywood has swept three opponents in a row for six straight wins.

Marywood improved to 10-2 in the league and 10-13 overall while the Cyclones fell to 7-15 (5-5 CSAC) with the losses.

In the opener, Marywood used an eight-run second inning to take a commanding 10-0 lead.  Despite giving three back over the next two innings, Marywood closed the game early with three more runs in the third and fourth.

Kirstie Alvarez was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI.  Brooke Lab doubled as well and scored three runs.  Lauryn Butler was 2-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored.

Marywood out-hit the Cyclones 19-5 in the opener, and Alyssa Bavaro evened her record at 2-2 on the year after allowing three runs on five hits over four innings. Amanda Bridgwood closed the game and struck out one in one inning of work. Bavaro's 22 career wins now puts her two wins shy of third place in the Marywood record book.

In the shutout nightcap win, Alvarez fanned four and allowed just four hits for the complete-game win.  She also went 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBI and two runs scored to help her own cause.

Sarah Witte was 2-for-3 with three RBI and a double.  Hannah Docalovich also doubled and scored two runs, while Alexa Scala tripled and brough in one run.

Marywood looks to extend its hot streak when its visits nearby Keystone College for a doubleheader April 18.
